Noteworthy at Compose - Elasticsearch Gets an Upgrade

Published

Compose for Elasticsearch version 6.8.4 is now available. Making the upgrade is as simple as a click of a button.

Today, we're announcing the release of Compose for Elasticsearch version 6.8.4, which is a minor upgrade from 6.6.2 that we have on Compose. This release is to keep in sync with the latest Elastic updates.

As with all releases on Compose, after 30 days, this Elasticsearch version will become the preferred version and then 30 more days after we'll remove the older version on Compose. With that in mind, here's a guide to helping you to upgrade to this version.

Upgrading

If you already have a Compose for Elasticsearch database running 6.6.2, this is an in-place upgrade, so all you have to do is click a button to start the upgrade process.

Updating your existing Elasticsearch deployment to version 6.8.4 is just a matter of navigating to the Settings view in the Compose console for your deployment. Once you're there, select the new version in the Change Version panel and then click the Change Version button.

That's it for this week's Noteworthy at Compose!
